Uzbekistan’s club Magazine Names Top 10 Scientists from Uzbekistan

The latest issue of Uzbekistan’s club magazine features the editorial board’s ranking of the top 10 scientists from Uzbekistan.

The list includes not only scientists working in Uzbekistan, but also compatriots who live and conduct research abroad.

We are confident that this ranking of Uzbek researchers will serve as a powerful tool to inspire young people and guide them toward science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

In compiling the list, the editors reviewed the academic work of more than 300 scientists from Uzbekistan. They assessed the h-index of each researcher in the Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science databases, and also took into account their public engagement and recognition at home and abroad, in the media and on social networks. 

According to the editorial board of Uzbekistan’s club, the top 10 scientists from Uzbekistan are:

• Utkir Rozikov (Uzbekistan), Professor, Deputy Director, Vsevolod Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan

• Ravshan Sabirov (Uzbekistan), Director, Institute of Biophysics and Biochemistry at the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan

• Anvar Zohidov (USA), Professor, Doctor of Physics, Deputy Director, Nanotechnology Institute, the University of Texas at Dallas

• Alisher Kadirov (Australia), Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Curtin University

• Botir Kabilov (USA), Harvard University PhD, Professor, the University of Texas

• Dilfuza Egamberdiyeva (Uzbekistan), Head, Biological Research and Food Safety Laboratory, the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers”, microbiologist

• Aziza Shonazarova (USA), Professor, Columbia University, scientist

• Temur Yunusov (United Kingdom), PhD in Biology from the University of Cambridge

• Raufkhan Salakhojayev (Uzbekistan), Director of ERGO-Analytics / Professor, Tashkent State University of Economics

• Utkur Mirsaidov (Singapore), Associate Professor, the National University of Singapore
